After Heart-Breaking 19-Month Hiatus, Tara Moore Gathers Barrage of Support as Andy Murray’s Mother Issues Stern Message on Her Doping Trial

In April 2022, Tara Moore, the former British tennis player, was accused of consuming banned substances during her tournaments. However, she pleaded not guilty. And now finally after 19 months, she has been released of the allegation. It was revealed that she had consumed meat that had the contaminated substance and she has proven to be a clean athlete after a long time once again.

However, the 19 months certainly were not easy for her. But she had the support of fellow tennis players and coaches. One of them was Andy Murray’s mother, Judy Murray. Even after the allegation has been lifted, Judy Murray posted about it on social media.

An independent testing body has revealed that Tara Moore is now free to play again as the failed doping test she gave was because of the contaminated meat and not because she consumed a banned substance. So now, after 19 months, she finally has a clear name. Congratulating her on the big win, Judy Murray also posted on her official X account.

She said, “So happy to see Tara Moore cleared by an independent panel after testing positive for anabolic steroids boldenone + nandrolone during WTA Bogotá in April last year. The panel agreed she had consumed contaminated meat + her provisional suspension has been lifted after 19 months.”
