In sports, it is not easy filling someone’s shoes, but when the person you are replacing becomes your cheerleader then this does become easy. LPGA’s Jessica Korda was scheduled to be playing at the Grand Thornton Invitational on December 4 at the Tiburón Golf Club and the Ritz-Carlton Naples.
Korda was paired up with Rickie Fowler at the event, but owing to her pregnancy Korda couldn’t play in December. However now not only a suitable replacement has been found in her place but she has also received the blessings of Jessica Korda.
After announcing her pregnancy, Jessica Korda has stepped back from golf for the moment. She is currently focusing on the well-being of herself and her unborn child. That’s why she couldn’t fulfill her prior game commitments for the next few months.
So when Korda pulled out of the Grand Thornton Invitational speculation started rising on who could be a replacement for her. From Lexi Thompson, and Rose Zhang to Nelly Korda many names were rumored to be the replacements. And the speculation of many fans proved to be right.
