‘Well Done’: Jordan Spieth’s Heartfelt Message for LIV Golfer Dustin Johnson Gets Overwhelming Approval From the Golf World

The rift between LIV Golf and the PGA Tour has not just created animosity between players; it has also seen friendships crumble. Many of the players who defected to the other side were friends with many others on the Tour. Among them was the beloved Dustin Johnson. While he was friendly with everyone, his bond with Jordan Spieth was unlike any other. The PGA Tour loyalist recently became emotional about DJ and revealed why he was the most missed on the Tour.

Spieth and the defector spent many hours together on the course. Despite often competing against each other, the two were close. Jordan shared a close bond with DJ, that different from one of his best friends Justin Thomas, and admitted to often missing him.

Spieth is currently competing at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. In an interview there as per Golf Digest, Johnson’s name cam up. This brought back tonnes of memories. He explained that DJ was one of the most beloved players on the Tour. “He’s a Hall of Fame player,” he stated. “Somebody who guys, people, and the celebrities here really enjoyed being around.”

The 13-time PGA Tour winner added that Johnson was one of the least controversial guys who jumped to the other side. He never created trouble for anyone and just focused on his game. “I think DJ being maybe the first one to go over there and somebody who is not, never was really controversial over here and more so just kind of worked his butt off, it paid off.”
