‘He’s my soulmate’ Victoria Beckham gushes about husband David in candid chat about family
THEY’VE been married since 1999, but Victoria Beckham insists she and husband David are happier than ever, as she gushed about him being her “soulmate” in an interview with the Today show this morning.
Victoria, 42, and David, 41, are parents to Brooklyn, 18, Romeo, 14, Cruz, eleven and five-year-old Harper, and the fashion designer – who rarely speaks out about her private life – said that being one of the most famous families in the world is a “juggling act”, but that her and David are a “good team”.
The Spice Girls star explained: “It is a juggling act constantly, I’m very lucky that David is the most fantastic father and husband. He’s great and we’re a good team.
“He’s my soulmate. We really complement each other. He’s the most incredible husband.
“He inspires me every day, with the children, the way he treats me; it just works. We are lucky to have each other.”
Victoria was then asked what kind of a mother she is to her brood, to which she replied: “I’m definitely not a pushover and neither is David. We are strict with the children, they are happy kids, but they’re very polite, they work hard at school.
“Homework has to be done on time, we are constantly checking their grades at school, we’re always at parents evening and the question we have is are they nice kids? Are they well behaved? Not how academic they are.
“It’s a really happy household. There’s always music on, we’re always singing and dancing.”
