Andy Murray shares sassy handwritten note from five-year-old daughter – and it’s hilarious!
Tennis legend Andy Murray shared a hilarious letter from his five-year-old daughter Edie at the weekend after he attempted to give her a coaching session.
Taking to his Instagram Stories, the three-time Grand Slam winner posted a photo of his daughter’s sassy handwritten note requesting a break from the sport. Despite his best efforts, little Edie does not appear to be following in her famous father’s footsteps…
The cheeky letter read: “Dear daddy, I am not going to play tennis for a while, lots of love, Edie,” followed by a string of hearts and kisses. But the sass didn’t end there! Little Edie also included a drawing of a stickman holding a tennis racket, with a giant red cross running through the picture.
Crushed by his daughter’s note, Andy included the caption: “5-year-old daughter has quit telling me ‘I don’t want to play anymore… You stand too close to me.'”
Earlier this month, the family enjoyed a trip to sunny Marbella. The tennis ace gave his 1.9 million loyal followers a look into his time in Spain which combined leisure and work as he was also training for the Monte-Carlo Masters tournament.
Among the plethora of photos shared to his Instagram, Andy shared a particularly sweet photo of himself larking around with Teddy. In his caption, he noted: “Just finished a great training week/holiday with my team and family at @puenteromanoresort in Marbella. What a great place [heart-eye emoji] thanks so much for looking after us.”
