Rafael Nadal and his wife, Mery Perello, welcomed their first child, a son named Rafael Nadal Jr., on October 8, 2022. The baby was born in Mallorca, Spain, where Nadal is from.
Nadal announced the birth of his son on Twitter, writing, “We are so happy to announce the birth of our son, Rafael Nadal Jr. Born today at 16:06, weighing 3.5 kilograms (7.7 pounds). Both mother and baby are doing well.”
Nadal is considered one of the greatest tennis players of all time. He has won 22 Grand Slam singles titles, the most in men’s tennis history. He is also a 14-time French Open champion, the most in any Grand Slam event.
It remains to be seen if Rafael Jr. will follow in his father’s footsteps and become a tennis player. However, with Nadal’s genes and his wife’s support, he has a good chance of success.
In the meantime, Nadal and his family are enjoying their new addition to the family. They have not yet released any photos of the baby, but they are sure to share more details in the future.
