RAFAEL NADAL tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend Xisca Perello on Saturday, but his friend Roger Federer wasn’t among the guests invited to join them on their special day – nor did he expect to be.
Tennis legend Rafael Nadal, 35, married his long-time girlfriend since 2005 Xisca Perello, 31, in a star-studded ceremony at a castle in Mallorca in 2019. And while Juan Carlos I, the king of Spain from 1975 to 2014, was spotted arriving to La Fortaleza to attend the wedding among other famous faces, Nadal’s fierce competitor and close friend Roger Federer revealed he didn’t get an invite
But not to worry, the eight-time Wimbledon winner admitted he didn’t expect one, despite the two being great pals.
“I was not invited and I did not expect it,” Federer said on Sunday.
“That’s not a problem at all! I congratulated him on his wedding day and I did not expect him to reply.
“I knew he had better things to do. Like celebrating in a big way,” he joked.
