Rafael Nadal shares latest update after undergoing surgery, skipping Wimbledon

Rafael Nadal shared a little update, revealing to his fans that he is on vacation with his family. Nadal, 37, has had a challenging year as he hasn’t played since the Australian Open after suffering an injury to his psoas muscle.

After failing to recover on time for the French Open, Nadal surgically addressed his psoas issue in early June. Now, Nadal is taking some time to relax and switch off his mind from tennis. “Good morning. Enjoying the sea for now and a few days of total disconnection with my family.

Do I keep you guys updated on my vacation?” Nadal captioned his Instagram post.

No Nadal until 2024
Nadal’s main goal was to be ready for the French Open.

But after that didn’t happen, Nadal decided to surgically repair his psoas muscle. On June 3rd, Nadal announced to his fans that the day earlier he had surgery. At the time, Nadal also revealed his estimated recovery process would be five months.”Hello everyone.

As you know last night I had surgery. Everything went well and the arthroscopy was on the left psoas tendon that has kept me out of competition since January. An old injury to the labrum of my left hip was also regularized, which will surely help the better evolution of the tendon.

I want to thank doctors Marc Philippon, Jaume Vilaró and Angel Ruiz-Cotorro for their work. I will start progressive functional rehabilitation immediately and the normal recovery process they tell me is 5 months, if all goes well.

Once again thank you for all the support you have shown me and that you show me every day. Today also on my birthday. Not in the desired or dreamed place, although THANK YOU anyway,” Nadal announced on June 3rd.Just a couple of days ago, Toni Nadal said he thinks his nephew won’t retire in 2024 if he recovers well and stays healthy when he returns to action.
