‘My Wife Hates It’ – Alexis Ohanian Fails to Impress Serena Williams with His Peculiar Child Growth Analogy
Alexis Ohanian wears many hats, proving he’s not just a businessman but also a devoted father to Serena Williams‘ children. The 40-year-old businessman recently shared a humorous story about his wife’s response to his Pokemon analogy about their children’s development. When Ohanian made the amusing comparison between a child’s development and the evolution of Pokemon characters, the tennis legend had less than enthusiastic words to say.
The 40-year-old American entrepreneur on his podcast, Business Dad, recently talked about his endeavors and his personal life as a girl dad to two daughters. Along with that, he also shared his theory of what he believes child growth actually looks like and how his wife reacted to the same.
He said, “My wife hates it when I describe our daughters as Pokemon. But it is they, they evolve before your eyes into totally different creatures than they were before.” Even though, he made a comparison between how Pokemon grow from a small ball to big creatures, in the same way somewhere a child’s growth also takes place in a similar word.
But at the same time, his wife is totally against this analogy, and the 23-time Grand Slam champion particularly ‘hates it.’ The founder of Seven Seven Six and outspoken supporter of paid leave, Alexis Ohanian, examined the significance of paid leave for men in 2022. He addressed the fundamental causes: he had never been around a baby until he became a father himself.
The Reddit co-founder stated, “I didn’t grow up with any younger siblings, and I had never been around a baby, or conceived of being around a baby until I was a dad. Paternity leave is how I got confident being around kids because I got to spend that time learning and making mistakes and figuring it out.”
Not only that, just a few days ago, in a conversation with people about his podcast launch, he talked about his elder daughter getting into a big sister role, since Adira’s birth.
