Phil Mickelson and his ‘unofficial’ biographer are back at it again — courtesy of Jon Rahm, this time. The Spanish International, since bowing out of the TGL fuelled intense speculation about his next move. There are rumors that the Spaniard is going to join the LIV Golf. The 31-year-old has good relations with Sergio Garcia and Phil Mickelson.
According to the controversial author of “LIV and Let Die”, Phil Mickelson, is the one who is spreading the rumors. Reportedly, he has been telling in close circles that Rahm coming to LIV Golf is a done deal. Needless to say, Lefty was quick to deny this allegation earlier, calling his archnemesis “worst liar and a pathetic human,” the six-time Major Winner said he didn’t say anything. But like most of his boiling conflict with his critics, it didn’t end at that.
Did Alan Shipnuck, the controversial author in question, see this tweet? Does he know that the 53-year-old golfer called him a “pathetic human?” He does. But, possibly, from a third-party source, because, as per his admission earlier, Mickelson has blocked him on X.
When asked if he saw the tweet, this is what he had to say, “I did, it was typically sociopathic. I thought my original tweet was cheeky. For him to so wildly overreact (on Thanksgiving eve!) felt like projection.” Nevertheless, he stood by his earlier comments. “Phil knows the truth. The people he’s told (who are influential in the golf world) know the truth. It’s whatever.”
