Lexi Thompson will make her PGA Tour debut next week. The player will play in the Shriners Children’s Open Full Field in Las Vegas on a sponsor’s exemption, becoming the seventh woman to compete on the PGA Tour.
In a Sunday press conference prior to her PGA Tour event, Thompson sat for some questions, answering how her preparation has been, her takeaways from the Solheim Cup, and what positives she plans on bringing to Las Vegas.
When asked what are some elements of her game that she is going to hope to take into next week, the American pro answered, “Everything really.” Elucidating on her improved gameplay, she added, “My ball striking. I’ll definitely need my top game going into next week.”
Furthermore, she added, “Get that driver more in tune. Didn’t hit it too much on this golf course, but I’m going to need it I’m sure there.” She concluded by adding, “So it will really be all down to ball striking and making those putts when I need it out there.”
