Simon Cowell planning to make son Eric take over his role on America’s Got Talent

Simon Cowell wants his son Eric to take over his role as judge on America’s Got Talent, here’s how he’s ‘training’ the nine-year-old.

Simon Cowell has found his successor as head judge on America’s Got Talent in his nine-year-old son Eric.

The 63-year-old is looking to the very far future, but as one of the most influential men in showbiz, it’s really no surprise he wants to plan for it.

Having his little mini-me take over one day would ensure that things would go on with the hit talent show as he would’ve wanted.

However, Eric wants to become a singer instead of a judge.

That isn’t stopping the former American Idol judge from training his son and teaching him the ropes of the business.

Cowell told the Daily Mail that Eric is already learning how to find promising entertainers.

The judge said: “Trust me, he is in training. He sits and watches the shows with me before they go out and I don’t ask him, but I look at his reaction because kids don’t lie.”

He continued: “If they are bored, they are bored and if they are interested in something, they are… And that’s really helped me actually. I hope he does what I do.”

However, Eric is far more interested in being the famous one, not the person who makes people famous.

Cowell added: “He has said the dreaded words, ‘Daddy, can I audition for you?’ And I’m like, ‘Oh, No!'”
