“Andy Murray wants to feel the adrenaline of late stages of a Slam again” – Andy Roddick

Andy Murray has made no secret of his desire to return to the top of men’s tennis, and Andy Roddick believes that the former world number one is still capable of feeling the adrenaline of late stages of a Grand Slam again.

Roddick, who won the US Open in 2003, said that Murray is “still a very good player” and that he has the “mental toughness” to compete at the highest level.

“He wants to feel that adrenaline again,” Roddick said. “He wants to feel what it’s like to be in the late stages of a Slam, and I think he’s capable of doing that.”

Murray has not won a Grand Slam title since 2016, but he has shown signs of improvement in recent months. He reached the semi-finals of the Australian Open in January, and he won the title at the European Open in Antwerp in October.

Roddick believes that Murray needs to be patient and that he will eventually get back to winning Grand Slam titles.

“He’s just got to be patient,” Roddick said. “He’s got to keep working hard, and he’s got to keep believing in himself. I think he’s capable of doing it.”

Murray himself has said that he is “not giving up” on his dream of winning more Grand Slam titles.

“I still believe I can win the big tournaments,” Murray said. “I’m not giving up on that.”

It will be interesting to see if Murray can recapture his best form in the coming years. If he can, he will be a force to be reckoned with at the Grand Slams.
