Rafael Nadal wife: Australian Open star reveals family plans with Xisca Perello

Rafael Nadal is chasing his second Australian Open title in Melbourne. The 2009 champion can draw level with Roger Federer’s haul of 20 Grand Slams. Nadal is regularly cheered on at his events by his wife Xisca Perello – but who is she and what do we know about her?

The wedding was held at La Fortaleza, a luxury seaside estate in Majorca, Spain.

Reports claim 350 guests attended the event, including the former King of Spain, Juan Carlos I.

Speaking at a charity exhibition in Kazakhstan last year, he said: “The wedding is fast and I think we enjoy it a lot this beautiful day.

“We have a lot of fun and we enjoy this day with people that we wanted. We had a great day.

“It’s something that we have been preparing for such a long time. But it’s gone, now is the moment to come back to the end of the season of tennis.”

Nadal welcomed in the new year by posting a rare wedding photo of him and his wife on Instagram.
