Wimbledon star Katie Boulter’s relationship labelled ‘sickly’ with Emma Raducanu claim
Katie Boulter’s “lovely” Aussie boyfriend is helping her career – even if their relationship is “sickly in a cute way”, according to Anne Keothavong. The British No 1 faces defending champion Elena Rybakina in the biggest match of her career in the Wimbledon third round on Saturday.
Boulter, 26, is enjoying a fine summer after winning her first WTA title in Nottingham last month and the wildcard is now the last British woman left in the singles draw. And her Billie Jean King Cup captain Keothavong reckons her long-term relationship with world No 17 De Minaur has given her the stability to rebuild her career after illness and injury.
“Alex is so down to earth and so lovely,” said the BBC analyst. “I hate to say it but they are sickly – in a very cute kind of way, very supportive of each other.
“You can tell how much they care for each other and how much they support each other and it was great to see him courtside supporting her after his match and you see it within their families as well with their mums, Alex has got his mum and his sister around and Katie’s got her mum and grandad and brother around and the families get on well.
