Inside Andy Murray’s £5m Surrey mansion he sold to build dream family home with wife Kim
Sir Andy Murray recently levelled up his property portfolio after selling his £5 million Surrey mansion and using the funds to build his dream family home in Leatherhead.
The two-time Wimbledon champion, who is set to return to the court in SW19 this July, formerly lived in Surrey with his wife Kim and their four young children – Sophia, Edie, Teddy, and little Lola, who was born in March 2021.
The tennis ace has kept his bespoke property, which has a tennis court in its 28 acres of grounds, away from social media, but he was far less private about his former Surrey mansion with his fans.
Their incredible estate boasted five bedrooms, a swimming pool, massage room, gym and tennis court, as well as a courtyard-style garage building to accommodate Andy’s fleet of cars – and thankfully for fans, Andy has shared a few photos from inside on social media.
The location was carefully chosen by Andy and the tennis star told Surrey Live: “At one point, I was travelling 40 weeks a year to tournaments so being closer to both Heathrow and Gatwick helped cut down on a little bit of my travel time. It’s also easy to get to Wimbledon and the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton from here, which is where I train.”
