Here is the ranking of the top ten that has surprised sports fans, both in terms of the players included and those who have been excluded from the rankings. Alisha Lehmann, the Aston Villa star is at the top with 491,100 searches and boasts over 13.3 million followers on her Instagram, a social network in which she shares shots of training, matches and her life away from soccer.
Emma Raducanu, runner-up with 360,360 searches. The Briton made tennis history by winning the 2021 US Open from qualifying at just 18 years old. The Englishwoman hopes to return to competition at the top level after two difficult years due to major injuries.
Camila Giorgi closes the podium (third) with 251,400 searches. The 31-year-old, also a model, boasts 709,000 Instagram followers and often wows fans with her gorgeous posts. Serena Williams fourth with 249,500 searches, close to the podium.
Widely regarded as the greatest tennis player of all time, the American was one of the biggest sports stars in the world. Alex Morgan, in fifth place with 182,800 searches. The two-time World Cup winner she is also a film star and has appeared on numerous magazine covers when she is not on the pitch.
Maria Sharapova occupies the sixth position with 175,700 searches. The Russian was a great tennis player and enjoyed a successful career both on and off the court. Alica Schmidt, seventh with 170,500 searches. In this ranking, the German runner is also far from the podium, despite her status as the most beautiful athlete in the world.
Paige VanZant, eighth with 160,300 searches. She is the only combat sports athlete to appear on the list. Danica Patrick in ninth place with 137,600 searches. The former IndyCar driver dated Super Bowl winner Aaron Rodgers for two years between 2018 and 2020.
Ellyse Perry closes the top ten (117,100 searches). A cricketer and footballer, she has represented Australia in both sports during her career.
