‘You’re Still Grinding It Out’ – Crucial Reassurance For Andy Murray As Wife Kim Sears’ Moving Words Propels Him To Go For Glory At Wimbledon Championships

The twenty-third Grand Slam victory of Novak Djokovic took the world by storm. His win shadowed all the other events on that day. While the Serb fought for his historic win, the British tennis legend Andy Murray won the ‘Surbiton Trophy’ by defeating Jurij Rodionov in straight sets, just like Djoker did against Casper Ruud. The Brit claimed a title on grass after almost seven years. After his last Grand Slam win in the 2016 Wimbledon Championships, Murray failed to win any event on grass courts. After his long-awaited victory, the Brit celebrated his triumph while the world was busy with Djoker. On this occasion, the 36-year-old’s wife, Kim Sears, shared a heartwarming and encouraging text to Muzza.

Murray shared the text his wife sent him after he played his recent match. Murray quoted the text saying, “She said, ‘I’m just watching Novak on the news, seeing that he won in Paris, and I’m so proud that you’re still grinding it out in Challengers and still working as hard as you know you ever have done.’

The Surbiton trophy winner further clarified, “You can’t always be comparing yourself to other people and people that are more successful than you. I probably learned that more as I got older. So whether I win another Grand Slam or winning Challengers is the peak for me now, I’m okay with that because I’m doing what I love to do.”

Commenting on Djokovic’s twenty-third Slam win, Murray said, “But I was happy for Novak on Sunday. And what he’s achieved is incredible. And I think when I look back, the fact that I was winning my Slams and the Olympics and those events against those players is brilliant, and I’ll be very proud of that.”
