Despite a Recent Last-Minute Exit, Is Nelly Korda Playing in the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship?
Still one of the most talented players on the circuit, Nelly Korda’s season has gone a little awry in recent months. The 24-year-old missed the cut at the Cognizant Founders Cup last month, before making a last-minute exit from the Mizuho Americas Open.
However, the following week will be crucial in Korda’s golf calendar. With the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship set to commence, is the former major winner fit enough to participate in the event?
The former World No.1 made headlines recently after opting out of the Mizuho Americas Open in the eleventh hour. Korda later followed up with an explanation on her Instagram stories, where she condemned back pain as the reason for her absence.
However, the 2020 Summer Olympics Gold medalist didn’t disclose a timeline for her injury. Following the withdrawal, Korda didn’t tee up at the succeeding ShopRite LPGA Classic and isn’t on the list for the Meijer LPGA Classic event.
