Tiger Woods, Who’s Reportedly ‘Best Friends’ With His Ex-Wife Elin Nordegren, Once Revealed the Secret That Mended Their Relationship

Tiger Woods has had a turbulent course of relationships over the past decade. The one that pains the most will be the separation from his first wife, Elin Nordegren. The divorce caused a public stir over Woods’ image as a role model and icon. This led to a lot of questions.

However, it looks like the pair are back on talking terms now, with Tiger even dubbing his ex-wife as his “best friend”.

How did Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren repair their relationship?
The couple finalized their divorce in the Bay County Circuit Court in Florida on 23 August 2010. Nordegren was compensated in a costly lawsuit that totaled in excess of $100 million. It was a minor amount for the billionaire golfer, but what followed was an unforgivable, harsh public scrutiny.

In the years that followed, Woods got injured multiple times and was forced to take a sabbatical. During this time, he revealed how parenting their kids was bringing him and Nordegren closer to each other.

“Having the relationship that I have now with her is fantastic,” he said. “She’s one of my best friends. We’re able to pick up the phone, and we talk to each other all the time. We both know that the most important things in our lives are our kids.”

Woods also revealed how the newfound relationship with her ex was possible because of their kids. “….We try and help each other out on all occasions. And we work through it with the kids, the parenting program. She is one of my best friends now, and it’s all because of my kids.”

Tiger also pointed out the efforts he and Elin took at co-parenting, saying they were doing the necessary “to make sure that their lives are fantastic”.
