She comes from a family of athletes: her father is former professional tennis player Petr Korda, and her mother is former professional tennis player Regina Rajchrtova. Her older sister, Jessica Korda, is also a professional golfer.
Nelly Korda started playing golf at a young age and was a successful junior golfer. She played college golf at the University of Florida, where she was a three-time All-American and helped her team win the SEC championship in 2018.
