Inside Andy Murray’s Marbella family holiday as tennis icon shares rare pics of his kids
Andy Murray is preparing to begin his clay-court season at this week’s Monte-Carlo Masters and used a family holiday in Marbella as part of his tournament preparation
Andy Murray took a break from his hectic tennis schedule to take a family holiday in Marbella and shared rare pictures of his children. Murray crashed out of the Miami Open after a first-round straight-sets defeat to Dusan Lajovic, resulting in a gap on his competition calendar before this week’s Monte-Carlo Masters.
The early exit gave the world No 57 time to take a training week in the Spanish seaside resort and afterwards he shared a series of pictures with fans. The three-time Grand Slam winner posted the holiday snaps with the comment: “Just finished a great training week/holiday with my team and family at @puenteromanoresort in Marbella. What a great place thanks so much for looking after us.”
Murray was joined by his wife Kim Sears and their four children, who are rarely pictured. The 35-year-old was pictured lifting one of his children above his head as they sat outside having food in the Spanish heat. Murray and his family also visited the beach and he shared another picture of his children playing with their toy cars at the seaside location.
The British star also confirmed that he was preparing to begin his clay-court season in this week’s Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters where he will compete for the first time since 2017. He was pictured outside a clay court in Marbella where he was thought to have been training for the week.
