Lexi Thompson is a hell of a player. She might not be seen regularly playing at the LPGA Tour, but whenever she does, she sure knows how to make her presence feel. Lexi Thompson at The Chevron Championship Press Conference
Thompson is all geared up to chase the Chevron Championship for the second time and she is all geared up. She has been practicing hard and is ready to take it home.
In the conference, a reporter asked her about what seemed like an injury on her hand. She then clarified that it is not exactly an injury, but it’s because of all the practice she is getting in for the championship. She mentioned that she had been hitting a few balls at home and she might have overdone it. “I think I just overworked it. It’s nothing crazy severe, but it’s there. But we’ll see.”
A reporter asked Thompson about her not-so-typical injury. She inquired about whether her wrists hurt in a few shots that she takes differently to which the 28-year-old replied affirmatively. She informed the moderators that her hand is better today and hopes it improves more in the future. “Overall it was better today, so hopefully it’ll just slowly go away.”
