Ahead of LPGA’s First Major of the Year, Nelly Korda Utterly Dominates The Numbers Game, Eyeing a Return to The World No. 1 Spot
Nelly Korda is probably one of the most talented players on the LPGA Tour. With several records in her name, the female golfer has won millions of hearts in her career. In fact, the golf star is recognized for a lot more than just her tournament finishes and LPGA Tour victories. And her recent surprising stats are proof that the golf star deserves all the hype she gets from golf fans!
Things have been pretty rough for the player recently. After having an extremely challenging season in 2022, the professional golfer was able to win the Pelican Women’s Championship towards the end of the year. Moreover, she was so overwhelmed with her victory that she couldn’t hold her tears in after realizing how much the achievement meant to her!
But despite all her struggles, the golf ace has been doing extremely well this year. And her second-place finish at the HSBC Women’s Open has taken her to another pedestal at the beginning of the season itself. Currently waiting to tee it up at The Chevron Championship at The Club at Carlton Woods, Korda is all set to compete in the $5.1 million purse tournament. But that is not all.
According to a recent Instagram post by Golf Channel, the Olympic gold medalist is leading the LPGA Tour 2023 season in more than just one category. With 15 rounds in the 60s and 4.37 par-5 scorings, Korda is at number one in various other parameters as well.
