TIGER WOODS SENDS MESSAGE TO EX-WIFE ELIN NORDEGREN STRAIGHT DOWN CAMERA AT PNC
Tiger Woods was spotted looking into the camera and congratulating his ex-wife Elin Nordegren on the birth of her baby boy Arthur during the first round of the PNC Championship.
Woods, 46, is playing in the 36-hole parent-son tournament at Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando this weekend alongside his 13-year-old son Charlie Woods, who is also the son of Elin, 42.
Nordegren and Woods are also parents of Charlie’s sister Samantha Woods, 14.
Elin gave birth to her new baby boy Arthur last Thursday.
According to golf journalist Jason Sobel, 15-time major champion Woods wanted to make sure there was a camera on the 1st tee earlier today so that he could send his congratulations down the camera to Elin.
“After he and Charlie hit their tee shots, they looked into the camera and congratulated Elin, Tiger’s ex-wife and Charlie’s mom.
“She gave birth to a baby this past Thursday.”
Charlie and Woods then went on to shoot a stunning opening round of 13-under 59.
That puts them just two shots behind Justin Thomas and his father Mike Thomas, who went round in a 15-under 57.
Woods and Nordegren first met in 2001 after being introduced by Swedish golfer Jesper Parnevik.
Elin previously worked as a nanny for Parnevik.
Woods and Nordegren were engaged in November 2003 and they married more than a year later in October 2004.
But their marriage soon ended when Nordegren discovered Woods had been cheating on her with multiple women.
Elin found out about Woods’ cheating on Thanksgiving in November 2009 and she allegedly attacked Woods, who crashed his car into a tree.
Despite their divorce, it is understood Woods and Nordegren’s relationship is much stronger as they do the best for their kids, Samantha and Charlie.
Tiger considers Elin one of his best friends.
