Inside Tiger Woods’ horror car crash and injuries with icon blasted by LIV rebel’s wife

Tiger Woods was involved in a car crash that saw him suffer multiple leg injuries in 2021.

After Tiger Woods was involved in a horror car crash that saw him shatter his leg, the golfing great was slammed by a fellow rival’s wife in a scathing rant on social media. Woods was involved in a horrific car accident on 23 February 2021 in California that saw his car roll and crash into a ditch.

Woods was conscious at the scene by emergency services, where and firefighters had to pull him from the wreckage. The California was rushed to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center for surgery after sustaining multiple leg injuries.

Following the accident, a statement was posted to his social media accounts confirming that he had “comminuted open fractures affecting both the upper and lower portions of the tibia and fibula bones”. He also sustained “additional injuries to the bones of the foot and ankle” and “trauma to the muscle and soft-tissue of the leg”.

Rumours began to circulate that the golfing legend was frunk behind the wheel, however, LA County Sheriff Alex Villanueva told CNN the crash was “purely an accident”, adding: “He was not drunk.”

Woods later underwent multiple procedures to his injuries and, a few days later, his spokesperson confirmed: “The procedures were successful, and he is now recovering and in good spirits.”

News of Woods’ crash saw the feuding war between LIV Golf members and their PGA Tour rivals escalate, with one of the rebels’ other halves getting involved.

Earlier this year, fellow American golfer Pat Perez was one of the PGA stars who defected to earn millions in the Saudi-backed LIV Golf series. The 46-year-old had accused Woods of “hypocrisy” after the latter blamed rebels for following the money.

And Perez’s wife, Ashley, also got involved sending a now-deleted post from her Instagram account about Woods’ car crash that still threatens to end his career prematurely.

Sparking fears fears his career might be nearing an end, Wood revealed: “I can hit golf balls. It’s the walking that just hurts.”

The 46-year-old was not found to be under influence of any drugs nor alcohol at the time of last year’s crash. Driving at “a speed unsafe for the road conditions” was said to be the primary cause of the accident.

However, Perez’s spouse continued to slam the 15-time major winner as she fumed: “Literally why driving under the influence is ILLEGAL. I don’t feel bad for him. Thank god he didn’t kill anyone. See ya.”
