Simona Halep, according to Romanian publication ProSport, is getting divorced of her millionaire husband Toni Iuruc following her failed US Open campaign. The decision came at less than one year since the couple had their civil marriage.
According to ProSport sources, the decision will be officialized Thursday at a notary. Yet, when Toni Iuruc was asked to comment on the divorce, he answered: “I don’t comment on our private life… No, I’m not getting a divorce tomorrow…
Stop insisting, no comment,” said Iuruc for Fanatik.ro. Halep and her husband will not split their fortunes because they decided, from the beginning of their marriage, that they won’t do this. The rumored reason for the split is the big distance between Halep and her husband.
Moreover, while the distance between Halep and Iuruc could have been one of the problems, Simona’s early exit from US Open could have also worsened the relationship. Halep lost in the 1st round of the US Open against Ukrainian Daria Snigur.
