Who was Tiger Woods married to?
Tiger Woods married Swedish model Elin Nordegren in 2004 and the pair had two children together.
But things turned sour in 2009, when Ms Nordegren marriage to Woods was the subject of extensive media coverage after he admitted to infidelity.
The scandal was revealed following his car accident near the family’s Florida home.
Woods reportedly slept with 120 women while he was still married to the Swedish beauty and mother to his children.
He was also accused of spending tens of thousands of pounds on escort girls while playing in golf tournaments.
Following the affairs, Woods was forced to apologise for cheating and had to attend a rehab course for sex addiction.
Ms Nordegren essentially walked away from her marriage with £72m.
The pair were first introduced by Mia Parnevik, wife of Swedish golfer Jesper Parnevik, who hired Ms Nordegren as the nanny to their children.
After Woods’ affairs were revealed, Mr Parnevik was quoted as having said: “I’m kind of filled with sorrow for Elin since me and my wife are at fault for hooking her up with him, and we probably thought he was a better guy than he is.”
The famous golf legend had asked to be introduced to Ms Nordegren on many occasions, but she was seeing someone else at the time.
The two finally met at the 2001 Open Championship.
