Andy Murray’s bio with children and wife
Andy was born 15 May 1987 in Glasgow (Scotland) to Judy Murray and William Murray. Andy’s “real” name is Andrew Barron Murray. Andy has one older brother Jamie that is also a professional player, mainly involved in playing doubles.



The former world no.1 got married to Kim Sears on 11 April 2015 at Dunblane Cathedral in his home town after they used to date since 2005. Kim is the daughter of renowned coach Nigel Sears that introduced his daughter to Andy.



Murray has 3 children: 2 daughters named Edie and Sophia Olivia and 1 son named Teddy Baron. Andy was knighted in 2017 for services to tennis and charity.

Andy is currently coached by Jamie Delgado. He has been linked for long with Dani Vallverdu and he was coached on 2 occasions by Ivan Lendl which was decisive for Andy to win his 3 slams and become world no.1 in 2016.



Andy and his hip problems
Murray used to struggle for long with his hip. During the 2019 Australian Open he manifested his doubts about his future career as the pain was too strong to bear.



Eventually, Andy decided to undergo surgery and he had an inspiring comeback the same year to win the tournament in Antwerp, where he defeated Wawrinka in the final in 3 sets.



Later Andy had to stop for many months as he was struggling physically to compete on the main tour. However, he was back in a decent form after the tours restarted following the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic.



Murray’s net worth
The Scot sensation won US$ 61,717,257 so far in prize money. However, since Andy has become a real star in his home country his net worth is much higher because of various endorsements and businesses he is involved. Therefore, his net worth is now estimated to be around $165 million.
