Coco Gauff fires warning to Iga Swiatek after being dumped out of Indian Wells

American teenager Coco Gauff has enjoyed a solid career on the WTA Tour so far but she is now ready to take it to the next level in a warning to her rivals

Coco Gauff is one of the most exciting talents in women’s tennis, and she has very big plans for her future after discussing her goals with the media. The American teenager’s mood didn’t appear to be too dampened despite defeat at Indian Wells on Wednesday.

The American produced her best run at the 2023 Indian Wells BNP Paribas Open, reaching the quarter-finals before a straight sets defeat to Aryna Sabalenka. She has enjoyed a solid year so far, winning the title in Auckland along with reaching the semi-finals in Dubai.

Currently ranked number six in the world, Gauff has plans to move up the rankings and has her eye on reaching the summit. However, she has the small matter of trying to dethrone world No.1 Iga Swiatek, who is currently on course to defend her Indian Wells title.
