Bouchard, who hasn’t been active recently, is making the most of her free time by letting her hair down. When Bouchard made it to the Wimbledon final in 2014, she lit up the tennis world. The Candian player shared that she intended to make an exciting comeback to the competition while she continues to train and recover.

In an exclusive podcast, Bouchard was quoted as, “I was getting recognized everywhere, I had my phone stolen from a bar. I had to get a security guard at restaurants and places I went.”

She further added, “People keep interrupting, asking for pictures which I love doing for the fans but let me just complete my meal real quick. It was that moment I realized I had all eyes on me.”

She also explained, “It adds stress cause you are aware of all your movements, and steps, you constantly think what would people think.” After struggling for three years, Bouchard appears to be slowly rediscovering her game. She stated that she plans to make an exciting comeback to competition while continuing to train and recover.

Bouchard became well-known all over the world thanks to her early success and attractiveness. She was soon inundated with modeling and endorsement offers. Even though her on-court success hasn’t been able to match her extracurricular activities, she is still a very marketable player and consistently draws up large crowds.

Bouchard withdrew from the prestigious Wimbledon title in 2022
As a result of the WTA’s odd decision, Genie withdrew from the 2022 Wimbledon competition. The association had decided not to award event ranking points. The championships were penalized and had their ranking points taken away by the ATP and WTA Tours. Due to her inability to move up the rankings, Bouchard saw no point in using one of her protected entries.
