Kyrgios confesses he’s “still drowning” because of Djokovic
Nick Kyrgios suggested on Twitter that he hasn’t yet recovered from his 2022 Wimbledon final defeat against Novak Djokovic. Kyrgios made the confession in a Twitter thread started by fellow ATP player Tennys Sandgren. “Matching Novak in 3/5 takes you out to the deep water If you don’t find the balance point of calm intensity.
You’ll drown,” Sandgren tweeted.

How did Kyrgios feel after the lost Wimbledon final
As Alcaraz recently confirmed, defeating Djokovic at a Grand Slam is one of the hardest missions a player could get, but Kyrgios didn’t embarrass himself.
Kyrgios didn’t back down to Djokovic, but the Serb managed to beat the Australian 4-6 6-3 6-4 7-6 (3). “I don’t get nervous, it’s just tennis, not life or death, but I had big moment this year, obviously the Wimbledon final, I was probably the most nervous, walking out there against Djokovic was one of those experiences I haven’t done it before, I was feeling nervous,” Kyrgios said, per wowowtennis.
