Are Stan Wawrinka and Garbine Muguruza in a relationship?
The Italian website Ubitennis, in a recent article, fed some rumors abou a potential relationship between Stan Wawrinka and Garbine Muguruza. The question the site is asking is: is there anything tender between the Swiss and the Spaniard? The two champions have often trained together in the last few days, in Geneva, Switzerland, the home of Wawrinka.
Photos of the same swimming pool were shared on their Instagram profiles, but the two stars also trained together during these days, showing videos and photos both during their workouts and moments of relaxation. All of this is intriguing fans across the web, who wonder if Wawrinka and Muguruza are about to start a love story, or if they are simply friends and colleagues.
According to some Instagram fans and users, the photos posted of the two swimsuit champions in the same pool, even if at different times of the day, were taken in the pool of the Wawrinka house. Muguruza posted a photo of the costume by the pool on the famous social media, with the words: “little moments like these”, a phrase followed by a heart emoticon.
Stan also posted a photo in a bathing suit, with the words: “Every summer has a story … here”s the start of mine! Smile and enjoy it!” For now, there is only rumors and there is nothing official: in the coming weeks maybe there will be confirmations or denials, but the curiosity of the fans has already started all over the web.
Stan Wawrinka’s other love stories
For Wawrinka it would not be the first relationship with a colleague. After the separation from his wife, with whom he had a daughter in 2010, the Swiss was engaged for four years, precisely from 2014 to 2019, with the Croatian colleague Donna Vekic, nine years younger than the Swiss.
The relationship is often remembered because of the phrases that Nick Kyrgios shared a few years ago during a match against Wawrinka: the Australian bad boy during a match against the Swiss revealed to his rival an alleged affair between Donna Vekic and the other Australian tennis player Thanasi Kokkinakis.
Grabine Muguruza won two Slams: the French Open 2016 and Wimbledon 2017, respectively against Serena and Venus Williams. She also made the final at both Wimbledon 2015 and the Australian Open 2020. Wawrinka, long regarded as one of the Fab Five, won three Majors in his career: Australian Open 2014, against Rafael Nadal, Roland Garros 2015 and US Open 2016, both against Novak Djokovic.
In 2017 he played his second final in Paris, but lost to Rafael Nadal.
