Gary Player needs no introduction. The legend of golf took the game to new heights along with his contemporaries like Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus, who also held their own and made great contributions to the sport.

Besides being an amazing golfer Gary is also keeping up with modern times and is quite active on social media as well. With a substantial following on Instagram, Gary keeps his fans amused with current practice sessions from the course, some golden throwback pictures from his prime days, and appreciation posts for deserving players.

Recently Gary posted a picture of himself on the ground and in the caption he narrated his experience about practicing shots out of the bunker. He wrote – I probably spent years of my life simply practicing shots out of the bunker. The key, I found, is to set your wrists as early as possible. This allows you to “strike a match” by accelerating through the sand at impact. And if you’re faced with a long bunker shot, don’t be afraid to use a 9-iron instead of your lob wedge. Swing the same, and this will just help you cover more ground! GP.
