‘He Changed My Life’: Months Into Her Marriage, Lydia Ko Expresses Gratitude to Her Other Half

Lydia Ko had a great end to 2022, with her CME win, she became women’s world No.1 and also got to marry the love of her life, Jun Chung. However, her amazing performance put her at the center of attention at the 2023 Honda LPGA Thailand. Ko finished at T6 and wasn’t satisfied with her performance.

Lydia has been in the world of professional golf since 2013. And after a decade, she has realized how important it is to have someone to support you through the highs and lows of this journey. And fortunately, she has been able to find that support.

Who is the biggest influence in the life of Lydia Ko ?

The LPGA Tour legend has experienced many wins and losses throughout her career. However, through it all, she feels it’s important to have someone who just treats her as a normal person and not a golfer at the end of the day. “To know that there’s somebody at the end of my round, no matter what I shoot, to always support me and just think of me. Someone, who’s taken me who I am as a person.”

For Lydia that special someone has been her husband. She feels that since he has been a part of her life, she has been able to enjoy the sport more. “My husband has been, I think, one of the biggest influences in my life. And after meeting him I was able to enjoy golf more.”
