‘DeChambeau, Fowler, Charlie’: Fan Whispers Erupt As Tiger Woods Teases a Much Awaited TGL Update
Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s vision to bring the game of golf from the greens to the screen gave birth to TGL! However, even before the new tech league could begin, it was constantly fraught with numerous challenges and hiccups. From Jon Rahm’s withdrawal to the collapse of the So-Fi Stadium Dome, which pushed the inaugural season to January 2025, the TGL has been facing hurdle after hurdle!
However, amidst all the worries and chaos, there’s finally some good news for the simulator league. Tiger Woods recently provided a rather positive TGL update. His team in the tech league is now complete! And he’s teased the unveiling of the three golfers joining him.
Who are the three PGA Tour players joining Woods’s TGL team?
One of the league’s main draws is its team format. 24 PGA Tour players, divided into six teams of four members each, will compete in the TGL. The teams are named after six different cities, which are Atlanta Drive GC, Boston Common Golf, Los Angeles GC, New York GC, TGL San Francisco, and lastly Tiger Woods’s team, Jupiter Links GC.
The team is named after the Treasure Coast of Florida, Jupiter, which is renowned for its lighthouse, beautiful beaches, and best-in-class golf. At the moment, only Woods is on the team’s roster. Well, until Monday!
Woods’s most recent X post dropped an 11-second video with four chairs on the Florida beach, with the legend’s name written on the leftmost chair. On the other hand, the other three chairs had blank spaces, which, according to the post, will be filled by Monday, April 22nd, as the caption of the tweet read, “Find out who’s going to be filling these chairs on Monday @TGL.”
Woods’ teaser post left fans wondering who the stars would be—who would join the 15-time major champion and try and lead Jupiter Links GC to victory. Many even chimed in with their own guesses. Some with sarcasm, and some with sheer excitement!

From Valero Texas Open winner Akshay Bhatia to already-teamed-up Rory McIlroy, the fans suspect all the possible permutations and combinations that can work for the Jupiter Links Golf Club. To begin with, the golf community had rather unique guesses as to who would complete the team at Jupiter Links Golf Club. While one of them suggested “Bhatia, Zalatoris, Burns,” another did not choose pro golfers and chose to list golf YouTubers and commented, “Is it @RickShielsPGA, @PeterFinchGolf, and @GuyCharnock???!!”
Rory McIlroy has already been elected as the first member of Boston Common Golf. Despite that, one of them suggested that he would be tagging along with Tiger Woods in the team, besides Seamus Power and Shane Lowry. They wrote, “Rory, Shane & Seamus Power.”
Justin Thomas, Patrick Cantlay, Collin Morikawa, and many more have joined the TGL ranks. Yet, some of the very famous names were missing, including the likes of Bryson DeChambeau (who is not eligible since he plays for LIV) and Scottie Scheffler (who’s not yet on TGL’s roster). As a result, one fan, perhaps just wishing that the sole-PGA Tour players rule would change, suggested that DeChambeau be on the team too, along with none other than Woods’s son and Rickie Fowler. “Dechambeau, Fowler, Charlie.”
