Some of the biggest and brightest names in Women’s professional golf are currently participating in the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship 2023. The major is underway at Baltusrol Golf Club, Springfield, New Jersey. Since round one, it has proven to be a thriller of a ride, with some of the fan favorites not being able to make the cut, while some underdogs are showcasing their skills.
Players who didn’t make the cut at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship 2023
Nelly Korda
The biggest name to not make the cut has to be the World #2, Nelly Korda. Making a comeback after a month of inactivity, her lack of prep was visible. She perfumed poorly right from the get-go. This is the second time she couldn’t make the cut since the 2021 US Women’s Open. She is currently tied for 15th four back.
The Thai star was one of the players to look out for in the tournament. Her performance during the first and second rounds is proof that she wasn’t ready. Her shot of 75 and 77 in two days resulted in her being outside the cutline. This was the first time she missed the cut on the LPGA since July 2022 at Trust Golf Women’s Scottish Open.
Ranked #8 in the world, the English player had an abysmal performance in the opening round. She began the year as one of the hottest players in Women’s Golf, but back-to-back low-energy performances in March proved that she still has a long way to go.
