COWELL CASHES IN Simon Cowell lands secret £90million payday – making him richer than ever before
WITH a net worth of £390million, Simon Cowell was already living an A-list lifestyle with sprawling pads on both sides of the Atlantic and a fleet of supercars.
But I can reveal the record exec has pocketed another £90million cash in a deal to secure the future of his hugely successful television Got Talent franchise worldwide.
That should leave him with a fair few quid as he foots the bill for his upcoming wedding to Lauren Silverman.
The Got Talent shows, which air in 69 countries, have proved so popular that a massive investment bank is prepared to give him the cash up front to keep them going.
The complex deal with Syco Entertainment, which took two years to complete, is the first of its kind.
It comes after the music mogul, who shares eight-year-old son Eric with Lauren, let go of almost his entire staff at Syco this year to focus on his family earlier this year.
An insider revealed: “Simon’s decision will give him more time to concentrate on what he enjoys.
“As well as spending time with his family, he loves BGT and its US counterpart America’s Got Talent and he would like to continue appearing on those, being in front of the camera, for years to come.
“This deal means he will continue to make a fortune from the other versions of Got Talent in countries around the globe.”
Simon started the brand as a record label, S Records, in 2004.
