Breaking News: Jack Grealish surprises Man City fan to celebrate new partnership
Jack Grealish surprised a young fan to help Manchester City announce their first Official Equality Diversity and Inclusion Partner for City in the Community.
Long-term partners Nissan will support all of CITC’s disability and LGBTQ+ projects for two years having backed the charity since 2021. To celebrate, City have released a video of first-teamer Jack Grealish surprising young fan Lucas and joining him in a game of EA FC.
Lucas is a participant in the One City Disability programme, and Grealish took time to chat with him about CITC’s disability work and take him on for a game of EA FC. Grealish presented Lucas with a signed photo of his reaction at the final whistle of June’s Champions League final, as well as a City shirt where he wrote: “To Lucas, You Inspiration, Best Wishes, Love Jack.”
“It was a pleasure to play EA FC with Lucas, even if he did nearly beat me,” Grealish said. “It has been lovely to meet Lucas. He is a true inspiration. It is also great to hear that he has continued to come to City in the Community sessions for over 10 years and be provided with an environment where he can play football.”
