As Nelly Korda Breaks Hiatus, Her Trusted Ally Makes a Bold Claim About ‘Taking a Break’
Nelly Korda’s prolonged hiatus from the golf world became the talk of the town after the Solheim Cup. The 25-year-old golfer missed a few tournaments and all but vanished from social media as well. It was apparent that the young golfer was taking a break after her heartbreak at Finca Cortesin.
However, it was not just Korda who took a break. Her BFF and Solheim Cup teammate have long been absent from the greens as well. Now, competing at the BMW Ladies Championship in Seoul alongside Korda, she opened up about the importance of breaks in an LPGA pro’s hectic career and spoke volumes about Nelly Korda’s absence without naming her.
Megan Khang took a long break after the Solheim Cup defeat on the Andalusian hillside. Now, back in title contention in the Seowon Hills, she spoke to the media about her extended vacation in the Mediterranean country. The golfer got candid about the hectic life of a pro athlete and revealed that her break after the Solheim Cup was extremely necessary to recharge herself.
“It was huge,” says the 2023 CPKC Women’s Open winner about the importance of that vacation. LPGA takes the golfers touring around the world, but rarely do they get a chance to chill out there without any worries. So, when the opportunity came knocking at her door, she embraced it with open arms. “I knew I was going to have a couple (of) weeks off; might as well take advantage of it.”
