Fresh Update Adds a Plot Twist to Ugly Rory McIlroy Scuffle With Tiger Woods’ Former Caddie

The most exciting journey in golf began two days ago. The Ryder Cup teed off on Friday and has been showcasing the best weekend action to the entire golf community. Team USA and Team Europe are battling it out for patriotic pride at the Marco Simone Golf Club in Rome.

Team Europe has taken the Americans for a ride so far. They are heading into Sunday looking very comfortable and strong. The teams have also had their fair share of tussles on the course, including one between Tiger Woods’ ex-caddie and Rory McIlroy.

The air cleared by Joe LaCava
Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods’ former caddie Joe LaCava had a rough incident at the golf course on Saturday. LaCava was on Patrick Cantlay’s bag as the American golfer, in the company of Wyndham Clark, was playing against Rory McIlroy and Matt Fitzpatrick.

Things however went a little out of hand once Patrick Cantlay made an extraordinary putt on the last hole. The American’s celebration, especially by LaCava, annoyed McIlroy as the Northern Irishman was getting ready for his putt. The caddie got into a heated exchange, particularly with McIlroy.

However, in a breather, news came in about an hour ago that Joe had reached out to the European team last night and cleared the air between them and also extended an apology to Rory McIlroy for his behavior.

It is incidents like this that take the golfing community by storm. It’s a good thing that both parties have shaken hands and moved on from the unfortunate incident. All’s well that ends well.

The parking lot feud
Rory McIlroy was seen angrily exchanging dialogues with Tiger Woods’ former caddie. This flare-up was recorded by some bystanders and later went viral on social media.

An agitated McIlroy was later seen making his disgust perfectly clear in the car park of Marco Simone Golf Club, where he was taken away into a vehicle by his fellow Ryder Cup teammate Shane Lowry.
