Andy Murray opens up about career sacrifices wife Kim made to support him

In a rare interview with The New York Times, Andy Murray spoke candidly about his relationship with his wife, Kim Sears. He revealed that she has made a number of sacrifices for his career, including giving up her own dreams of becoming a professional tennis player.

“She’s had to sacrifice a lot,” Murray said. “She’s had to give up her own career, her own dreams, to be with me and support me.”

Sears is a talented artist, but she has put her career on hold to travel with Murray to tournaments around the world. She has also had to deal with the constant media attention that comes with being married to a tennis star.

“It’s not something she courts,” Murray said. “She doesn’t like being in the newspapers, and people commenting on what she’s wearing and how she looks, and those sorts of things.”

Despite the sacrifices she has made, Murray said that his wife is his “rock” and that he could not have achieved his success without her support.

“She’s been there for me through thick and thin,” he said. “She’s the most important person in my life.”

Murray and Sears have been married since 2015 and have two daughters, Sophia and Edie. They are a happily married couple who are clearly devoted to each other.

In addition to the sacrifices she has made for Murray’s career, Sears has also been a great support to him during his personal struggles. In 2017, Murray underwent surgery on his hip and was forced to miss several months of competition. Sears was there for him throughout his recovery, and she helped him to stay positive and motivated.

Murray is grateful for all that Sears has done for him, and he knows that he would not be the same person without her. He is a lucky man to have such a loving and supportive wife.
