Carlos Alcaraz unhappy with Holger Rune as Wimbledon star wins point after tweener

Carlos Alcaraz appeared far from impressed with Holger Rune after the Danish tennis ace pulled off a tweener during their tense Wimbledon quarter-final. Both Rune and Alcaraz are seen as the future of men’s tennis with the pair born just days apart and only recently turning 20 years of age.

As well as being two of the most talented players on tour already, both Rune and Alcaraz know how to put on a show for the paying public. Alcaraz may be more subtle with this way of entertaining the crowd with his tennis ability getting fans out of their seats.

But Rune has earned a reputation on the ATP Tour early in his career for testing the limits at times. He feeds off energy from the crowd and the Dane had the Centre Court spectators on his side with an audacious tweener at a crucial part of the match.

Rune was looking to hold serve towards the latter stages of the first set when Alcaraz managed to land in a lob to the back of the court. Unable to twist around for a forehand or backhand, Rune opted to send one back with a tweener while facing the wrong way.
