Andy Murray’s mum Judy Murray in cheeky George Clooney post: ‘You could have a point…’
ANDY MURRAY’S mum Judy Murray whipped her Twitter followers into a frenzy after she made a cheeky remark about Hollywood star George Clooney during The Masters Tournament 2019 last week.
Judy Murray, 59, joked George Clooney, 57, who is married to Amal Clooney, 41, was “more beautiful” than The Masters 2019. The tennis coach responded to a tweet from American tennis player Chris Evert, 64, who rhetorically asked:
“Is there anything more beautiful on TV than the @TheMasters?” In view of her 248,000 followers, Judy cheekily replied: “George Clooney?” Chris responded: “You could have a point…”
One user wrote: “Nice answer Judy….. [thumbs up emoji],” while a second commented: “I’m with you on that one @JudyMurray.”
A third cheekily commented: “Me but I’m not on the telly.”
Judy’s flippant admission comes after she spoke out on her ideal man in a candid interview last year.
She told the Daily Mail: “As for what I’m looking for [in a man]? A nice pastry chef with a good sense of humour and great choux buns.
“I’ve got friends who’ve tried internet dating but I could never go near Tinder. No chance.
“If I was to meet someone, I would need to be set up, but no one ever tries.
“I find it hard to trust new people because you never quite know their agenda, so that makes meeting someone difficult for me.”
Judy is believed to be single following her split from Phil Reid, 48, in 2014.
She was also married to William Murray, the father of sons Andy and Jamie, from 1980 to 2005.
