U.S. Open 2023: Jordan Spieth drops massive F-bomb, has to put quarter in swear jar for second major in a row

In Rochester last month, it was a hot-mic fest for the ages. Oak Hill was playing so tough that it felt like a U.S. Open and the players responded in kind, barking a rainbow of colorful language across Western New York.

That was poor Jordan Spieth warming up the pipes for a long Saturday of cursing at Oak Hill. Los Angeles Country Club is playing considerably easier this week, but that didn’t stop Spieth from making a swear-jar deposit for the second major running on Frdiay, unleashing a “F—K!!!” that could be heard all the way to Anaheim. Sound up, sickos.

Now Spieth isn’t a Tyrrell Hatton, Justin Thomas or Tiger Woods. He loves to talk to himself, sure, but his chatter is usually, um, less emphatic. But the more you struggle, the harder it becomes to resist the siren song of an F-bomb, and Spieth’s major drought will climb to six full years should he fail to win this weekend and next month at Hoylake.
