Despite Her Absence From the LPGA Event This Week, Nelly Korda Gives a Pleasant Update With Her Latest Social Media Activity

One of the most talented players in the LPGA Tour, Nelly Korda has been keeping away from tournaments lately owing to her back injury for the last few weeks.

But it looks like things are changing now. Nelly keeps her fans updated on her progress through her Instagram. A few days ago she posted some videos from her gym session indicating she is gearing up to take to the course again. And today with her latest Instagram story the former World No.1 has teased fans with a major update.

Is Nelly Korda back for golf practice?

Although she will be missing at the Meijer LPGA Classic event this week Korda has a pleasant update for her fans on Instagram. In the Instagram story she shared today Nelly is walking on the golf course as she takes the video. She is accompanied by a helper who is carrying her club bag. It means that her break time from the green is over and she is perhaps getting in form for the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship that is happening next week from 22nd June.

Her injury has caused her to miss out on a lot of good events. The 24 years-old has been taking some time off due to her back injury. The pain was so severe that Korda had to pull out of the Mizuho Americas Open despite first being named to appear in the tournament. She wrote in her post on social media “I have made the decision to withdraw from the next week’s tournament at the advice of my medical team to address pain in my back.” Nelly’s last appearance was at the Founders Cup where she sadly missed the cut. She also skipped the ShopRite LPGA Classic in the second week of June and the Meijer LPGA Classic this week with a $2.5m prize purse.

Speaking about her recovery and her comeback to the green, Nelly had previously said she and her medical team were working on it. “We are working on a treatment plan to ensure I’m back to 100% soon for the remainder of the exciting season ahead,”
