Every passing day brings in brand-new information about the LACC, further exciting fans about the impending Open. But, one of the more difficult aspects of the course has now garnered significant attention, inciting diverse reactions from fans.
The North Course of the Los Angeles Country Club will be welcoming many of the biggest names in golf in a few days for the impending U.S. Open. For the first time since 1947, the coveted major will be held on a course with five par-3s that could involve one of the longest (290-yard 11th) and shortest (120-yard 15th) in U.S. Open history.
While the golf community is excited to see what the LACC has in store for players this year, one of the tee shots has now become the talk of the town. It is none other than the 507-yard par-4 13th, which fans have been able to get a glimpse of in a new video shared by @TaylorMadeGolf.
The 13th fairway is probably one of the widest in the major’s long history. However, the 20-yard-wide window down on the left is the only ideal part of it. Any tee shot that goes down to the right will result in a blind second shot over a bunker some 45 yards from the putting surface.
