New Look at Austin Butler in The Bikeriders
The Bikeriders may have had a rocky road to release, but it’s about to be smooth sailing from now on as it prepares to finally hit theaters on June 21.
Following a couple of release delays and a studio switch, The Bikeriders is now ready to hit the road, and IGN has shared a brand new look at Austin Butler as the enigmatic Benny.
The clip opens with a little preview of Tom Hardy as Johnny before introducing us to Jodie Comer, who plays Kathy.
She catches the eye of Benny, who is across the room, leaning pensively over a pool table.
Her curiosity is piqued, and immediately, Kathy asks her friend for further info on the mysterious biker across the room who looks to be a loner.
“Nobody wants to go out with him,” her friend informs her. “He cracks up on his bike. Every time he gets up on his bike, he has an accident”.
It’s too late, though. Austin Butler’s charming Benny is at the table, and Kathy can’t resist the charisma.
Our The Bikeriders review calls the film “a compelling study of power and influence” that “feels urgent and contemporary”.
Austin Butler, Jodie Comer and Tom Hardy are joined by Mike Faist, Michael Shannon, Boyd Holbrook, Norman Reedus, Damon Herriman and Beau Knapp in this true-life story about the Midwestern motorcycle club that inspired Danny Lyon’s 1967 photobook.
