Daniel Ricciardo’s girlfriend is daughter of F1 legend and by his side during comeback
Daniel Ricciardo’s return to Formula 1 has been far from plain-sailing, with the Aussie initially sitting the first part of 2023 out as Red Bull’s reserve driver before replacing the sacked Nyck de Vries at AlphaTauri – now VCARB. The 34-year-old only managed to score six championship points last season while also having to sit out five races with a broken hand sustained at Zandvoort.
In 2024, his fortunes haven’t changed, despite Red Bull chief Helmut Marko hinting that a seat could open up at the end of the year should Sergio Perez be moved on. The Mexican has, however, started strongly this year with back-to-back second-place finishes in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, while outperforming sister team VCARB’s drivers Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda.
The Australian Grand Prix could’ve been a good opportunity for Ricciardo to get his F1 return back on track – but he’ll have to fight his way up the grid after qualifying 18th for Sunday morning’s race. Luckily for the Honey Badger, he has a good support network around him to get him through the highs and the lows, with actress girlfriend Heidi Berger a mainstay.
Who is Daniel Ricciardo’s girlfriend?
Ricciardo and Berger went public in 2022 and although the 26-year-old has a different career path than her man as an actress, she has close ties to F1. Her father, Gerhard Berger, is a retired F1 driver, who competed in the 80s and 90s, with his last entry being the 1997 European Grand Prix.
