The incredible amount Rafa Nadal has won at Roland Garros: the millions his 14 trophy titles in Paris were worth

t’s easy to see why Rafael Nadal has had a statue at the main entrance of Roland Garros for the past three years. With 14 titles, no one has won more or shown as much desire to win at Philippe Chatrier as he has.

Amelie Mauresmo, director of the Parisian tournament, and Gilles Moretton, president of the French Tennis Federation, presented Nadal with a replica of his statue last year.

In 2017, to commemorate his tenth title, he was given a life-size reproduction of the Musketeers’ Cup.

“What I feel here I don’t feel anywhere else,” Nadal has said.

Nadal’s records at the French Open are unparalleled and likely to remain unmatched. He has earned a total of 25,004,250 euros in prize money from the tournament, accumulating 29,350 points from his 14 titles.

Out of 115 matches, he has won 112, with losses only to Novak Djokovic (in the 2015 quarterfinals and 2021 semifinals) and Robin Soderling (in the 2009 round of 16).

Nadal has spent an astounding 277 hours and 53 minutes on the courts of Bois de Boulogne, equivalent to 11 days and 13 hours of tennis, cementing his status as an unrepeatable legend.

Three training sessions
The 22-time Grand Slam champion, who has been training continuously since Monday, has scheduled three sessions for this Friday: two with Argentine Mariano Navone and one with his coaches, Carlos Moya, Marc Lopez, and Gustavo Marcaccio.

This Sunday, as the French Open begins, it will have been 494 days since Nadal last played a Grand Slam match, in the second round of the 2023 Australian Open. He needs to accumulate court time to prepare for a challenging first-round match against Alexander Zverev.

Nadal is preparing by practicing with a diverse group of opponents, including Sebastian Korda, Stan Wawrinka, Daniil Medvedev, Navone, and on Saturday, Holger Rune.

He was also scheduled to train with Alexander Zverev on Friday, but the session was cancelled for obvious reasons.
